Software - is a series of instructions executed by a computer. It
includes program that enable computer to perform those functions.
Two Major Categories of Software
- Application Software – are designed to perform specific data processing or computational tasks for the user.
- System Software – an essential part of computer operations that manages the resources of the computer, automate its operation and facilitate program development.
